Bienvenue! I am a FSL teacher at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, Ottawa, Ontario.
I use this blog as a communication tool for students/parents and my own professional learning.
We have started unpacking our next science unit on Rocks and Minerals. As a class, we discussed and understood the Big Ideas and the Overall Expectations from the Ontario Curriculum. Based on the Overall Expectations, students inquired about Rocks and Minerals, posing several questions. Students' questions were then organized by the Big Ideas and this will lead their learning throughout unit.
Here is our SEQUENCE anchor chart that we created together based on the tweets from @TitanicRealTime. I had used All My Tweets to gather the tweets from the twitter profile.
As mentioned in the last Newsletter, the Green Club will be selling sporks (which is a 3 in 1 utensil made of durable plastic). The cost is $3. The purpose of the spork is to reduce the amount of regular plastic utensils that are being used and that often end up in the garbage. Should you want to purchase one or more, please fill out the form that was sent home yesterday and send it in with your child along with $3. Thank you for helping St Emily be GREEN!
